Hospital bills shouldn't empty the chama account.
AfyaSure brings affordable, group-based CIC CoopCare medical cover to SACCOs, Chamas, Cooperatives and MFIs across Kenya — so one member's admission never becomes the whole group's emergency harambee.
One product, three ways to fit your group's budget
CIC CoopCare is a group medical product underwritten by CIC Microinsurance Ltd for members of Cooperatives, MFIs and Registered Groups with a minimum of 4 principal members. It covers Inpatient, Outpatient, Maternity, Dental, Optical and Last Expense — on a low-cost panel of mission and private hospitals, up to age 70.
Figures are family limits, net of SHA, on Ward Bed accommodation. Members without SHA pay a KES 500 co-pay per admission day. Outpatient, Maternity, Dental and Optical selections must match the chosen Inpatient option — you can't mix a higher Outpatient plan with a lower Inpatient plan.
Built for registered groups, not individual walk-ins
Group-based enrolment is what keeps CIC CoopCare affordable. AfyaSure works directly with boards, committees and group leaders to design cover that fits their members.
